The gentlemen that greeted myself and my wife was kind and professional, the place was spotless this is where the fun stopped. Lytham is an expensive place, granted, but two coffees and three crumpets at just over £12 is expensive and akin to a motorway service station. The coffees duly arrived with one sugar and when we asked for another the look of horror on the lady owners face was as if I'd asked her to split the atom "what two more" she retorted. Then the crumpets arrived which were quite honestly school baking quality. They need a very quick lesson in both service etiquette, pricing and diversity when it comes to menu choices. I sincerely hope this is a teething problem or I suspect they will close before very long.

Had the most horrible lunch ever here today. When we arrived and sat down outside the owner was there immediately offering water for the dog. My wife asked for menu and was told the menu was on the wall inside but he proceeded to tell us what was on. My wife had egg mayonnaise on white bread and Diet Coke. I had ham sandwich on brown bread with Americano ahd hot milk, he asked if I wanted an extra shot which I refused but now know why he offered this, it was the weakest coffee ever. When the sandwiches came the brown bread was so dry and hard think it was stale and it was served with the stock of the lettuce which was yellow no green whatsoever it had definitely seen better days and should have been thrown away and replaced with fresh. My wife said there was more mayo than egg on hers and was tasteless. When I went inside to pay the propertier asked if everything was okay and when I said "as a matter of fact it was not" he just dropped his eyes and said bread was fresh in today and carried on adding up my bill which came to £17.85 . most definitely will not go back there overpriced and very poor quality of food.
